Position Overview

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), our Hi-Lo Drivers play a critical role in ensuring our materials are handled safely, efficiently, and with care. You’ll work in a clean, organized environment with a focus on safety and respect—every shift, every day.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  1. Material Handling
  • Safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload, stack, and relocate materials.
  • Inspect loads for accuracy and damage; ensure timely movement throughout the facility.

 

  1. Safety
  • Adheres to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Use proper lifting techniques.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing.

 

  1. Equipment Checks & Maintenance
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections.
  • Ensure equipment is charged and maintained per schedule.
  • Report and document any issues or required repairs.

 

  1. Warehouse & Team Support    
  • Assist with general warehouse and production tasks.
  • Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and quality standards.
  • Report and document any issues or required repairs.

 

  1. Physical Job Requirements  
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation. 
  • Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day. 
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds, using proper lifting procedures; and occasionally pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying greater weights.  Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces.  Some functions may be performed as a team.
  • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned.

 

  1. Miscellaneous

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Certificate for Hi-Lo/Forklift.
  • 2 years of experience minimum.
 

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.

  • Base: $22-25 per hour
  • Bonus: Not Eligible
  • Job Type: Full-Time

Salary Range

Min: USD $22.00/Hr., Max: USD $25.00/Hr.
